Ecole Sainte Cécile de Pliché

The Building Of Ecole Sainte Cécile de Pliché School

Ecole Sainte Cécile de Pliché is a school on the southern peninsula of Haiti that was left partially destroyed and structurally unsound by 2016’s hurricane.  To date, Water Life Hope has raised over $120,000 to rebuild the school, with construction already underway.

Once completed, Ecole Sainte Cécile de Pliché will serve over 140 students, include a library and a sanitation facility. The school is located right next to an existing Water Life Hope reservoir. Therefore, not only will students have a place where they can grow, thrive and learn, they will also have access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities.

Clean water and health care and school and food and tin roofs and cement floors, all of these things should constitute a set of basics that people must have as birthrights.”

– Dr. Paul Farmer

In addition to raising money to cover the cost of construction, Water Life Hope is also raising funds to provide these schoolchildren with books, school supplies, and classroom equipment.
